Each of these women have such different journeys with their own health and the health of their loved ones, that ultimately lead them to the same goal, which is to help create cleaner and safer homes for every family. There is tons of research every day that is showing just how harmful toxic chemicals (many of which are common household items) can be for child development, fertility, and overall well-being. These women are great examples of how making simple changes to your environment in ways that you had never even thought of, may change your life forever.
Marilee is a Dietary and Environmental Consultant and Materials Specialist and she serves as a resource for clients who are chemically sensitive or chronically ill. She believes that by removing immune stressors, the body can focus on healing and that eliminating harmful chemicals from the diet and products in the home are foundational to health. She started her journey when her son became incredibly chemically sensitive, and she was looking for a way to heal him. Spoiler alert...she did!
Alison struggled with PCOS and was told she would never have children. She worked hard to naturally reverse her condition through changing her lifestyle in terms of the products she was bringing into her home and the food she was eating, and she went on the have a sweet baby girl. Alison's journey inspired her dear friend Kelly to jump on the non-toxic bandwagon and before long Kelly, Alison and Marilee created Branch Basics.
